What you will explore
The Centrale Montemartini Museum, a witness to precious antiquities and at the same time an eclectic example of Rome modern industrial architecture building as well as the Gazometro – which we will be able to admire too.
Rare insights of buildings of the Roman Empire, such as Porto Fluviale (Tiber River harbor), which dates back to the most ancient times of Rome, the Piramide Cestia, erected in late Republican age (1st century b.c.) , and the Aurelian Walls, a sign of the upcoming decadence of the Roman Empire.
The evocative Non-Catholic Cemetery in Rome (refereed to as “The English Cemetery” among Romans), witnessing the international character of Rome through the centuries, hosting to this date the tombs of Keats and Shelley.
The famous and lively Testaccio Food Market: the old site (left in July 2012) and the new covered structures, along with the former “Mattatoio” (i.e. Slaughterhouse) where meat was once prepared, host today to an important artistic Building Complex (the Macro), and featuring an extremely lively Farmer’s Market over the weekend.
The “Monte dei Cocci” (literally “crock mount”) whose eateries at the end of 19th century started the creation of the “coda alla vaccinara”.
The itinerary is suitable for both adults and children.

What is included in our offer
A total of SEVEN “streetfood” tastings is included, admission ticket to the Museum and the Guide for the whole duration of the Tour. The total amount of food is the equivalent of a full meal for most people. Furthermore, you will receive a practical cotton shopping bag as a memory of the Tour.
Tour price is intended for each person, including taxes and on-line transaction costs.
Children under 3 are free of charge. Please just specify their name(s), surname(s) and date(s) of birth in the “Comment” field upon purchase.
Adults and children older than 3 must buy a full price ticket, except for special promotional packages explicitly mentioned and available at a reduced price.
Number of participants
The tour will take place with a maximum of 12 people (plus any children under 3) and can be cancelled if a minimum number of 8 participants is not reached. In this case we will take care of informing you and refunding the amount paid based on PayPal terms and lead times as specified in our Purchase terms. However, we will do our best not to cancel the tour even if the number of participants does not reach the set minimum.
